What is Mental Health In Motion?
Mental Health In Motion is a new and innovative therapy intervention that I have created by marrying my two passions, mental health and yoga. Throughout my self discovery in my own yoga practice, I realized that so many emotions were flooding each time I came to my mat. I remember attempting to talk them through with my yoga teacher, but I quickly realized that though she was a wonderful yoga teacher, she wasn't a therapist, or educated formally in mental health.
It was that moment when Mental Health In Motion was born.
Connection to the mind, body, and spirit are key factors in living a healthy and abundant lifestyle.
I also believe that processing and expressing these connections are just as important.
As we walk through life there are many experiences that our body's endure, and these events take a toll on us, whether we are aware of them or not. Many emotions are held in our physical bodies, and with a trauma sensitive yoga practice these emotions can be released, and processed along side mental health therapy.
Mental Health In Motion aims to create a space where you can process your feelings and emotions regarding anything happening in your life right now, and in your past.
